Where is the meeting point?

We will meet at the site known as “Casa de las Artesanías,” located in Plaza Valladolid, also known as San Francisco, between Bartolomé de las Casas and Humboldt streets. You can find the location in any map application under the name “Instituto del Artesano Michoacano.”

15 minutes tolerance once tour has started

Please note this is a group tour, so other travelers independent of your reservation may join your tour.

In case you experience a delay in your arrival time, please note that your guide will remain at the meeting point for 15 minutes. If you don’t see your guide at the entrance, please go inside, check in, and look for your guide and the rest of the group somewhere on the ground floor.

After the 15-minute tolerance period, the guide must continue the tour with the participants who arrived on time.

Once the tour has started, your guide will not be able to answer phone calls or respond to text messages. Please note that after the 15-minute grace period, it will NOT be possible to catch up with the group at any point along the route.

Is this a private tour?

No. This is a group tour, reason why it will be highly appreciated for you to be punctual at the meeting hour, since the tour will start at the marked hour only with those tourists who have shown. Please consider that once the tour has started, your tourist guide will not be able to answer to any texts or calls.

Is this a walking tour?

Yes. Although the tour does not require exceptional physical condition, it’s important to keep in mind that during the walk through the historic center, participants will be moving on foot from one point of interest to another.

The tour ends at the starting point?

No. The tour end on the main street (Av. Madero), around the aqueduct area, by the East side of the city center.

Is it common to rain during the tour?

From the last weeks of May through October the possibility of rain is higher, especially during the evening, while the rest of the your the chances of rain are lower.

Should I pay for the entrance fees?

No. All entrance fees are covered by the rate you previously paid.

Is it possible to change the places to visit?

No. The places listed in the itinerary have been tested for quality and timing; therefore, the visit schedule cannot be modified.
